Pokémon fans have the right to be excited for the upcoming Nintendo Switch games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as they bring a brand new region, a trio of adorable starter Pokémon, a more open-world gameplay experience, and a series of new Pokémon designs to the series. Within this series of new Pokémon designs, there is always a chance for a range of new Dragon-type Pokémon.

Dragon Pokémon are a fan-favorite type despite high EXP rates needed for leveling and are known to be some of the most powerful Pokémon of the franchise. Though many Dragon Pokémon look fearsome and gigantic in size, there are a number of Dragon-type Pokémon that are undeniably cute.

Gible


Gible is a Dragon / Ground dual-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 4’s Sinnoh Region, known as the land shark Pokémon. Gible is the basic form of the Garchomp evolution line and evolves into Gabite.

It’s easy to see how fans fell in love with Gible, with its small round body, stumpy limbs, and big eyes. Gible’s physical design tasks after its Pokédex entry as the land shark Pokémon efficiently, with a large mouth showing off its pointed fangs, and fin-like characteristics on the back of its head. Gible is the adorable baby shark Pokémon that is easily recognized as one of the cutest and most lovable Dragon-type Pokémon in the franchise.


Goomy


Goomy is a Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in the Kalos Region of Generation 6. Goomy is listed as a soft-tissue Pokémon, its body covered in a slimy membrane that makes physical attacks such as punches and kicks slide off its body without harm.

This Pokémon has a rather simplistic design that might be considered strange. However, there is no doubt that Goomy is also undeniably cute and one of the most underrated Dragon-type Pokémon out there. Resembling a brightly-colored little slug, Goomy has small, beady little eyes that give its face a soft appearance, as well as bright green cheek pouches, similar to franchise mascot, Pikachu.


Deino


Deino is a Dark / Dragon dual-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 5’s Unova Region as the irate Pokémon. Deino is the first of its evolution line, first evolving into Zweilous, and then later into Hydreigon – which is considered one of the best non-Legendary Dragon-type Pokémon in the entire franchise.

Deino received much fan praise and appreciation for its adorable design. It is a quadrupedal Pokémon that resembles a baby dinosaur and has a spiked, fluffy-looking neck and fur that covers its eyes, causing it to bite and bump into its surroundings to get used to them. Many Pokémon fans appreciate the clumsy dinosaur-like Pokémon Deino as one of the cutest Dragon-type Pokémon to exist, and many fans aim to capture and train them in order to evolve them into the Hydreigon powerhouse.


Bagon


Pokemon Bagon

Known as the rock head Pokémon, Bagon is a Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 3’s Hoenn region. Bagon is the first form of its evolution line, evolving into Shelgon, and later into Salamence, which is one of the fan-favorite Dragon-type Pokémon, and a powerhouse of the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald games where it was first introduced.

Bagon’s design looks just like a baby dragon, with a small, childish body, little limbs, and big jagged fangs that stick out from its mouth. It has a friendly and endearing appearance, softened even further by a color palette of blues and yellows. Bagon’s design creates the perfect baby Pokémon for the Salamence evolution line and is continuously recognized by Pokémon fans as one of the cutest Dragon types to exist.


Jangmo-o


Jangmo-o is a Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in the Alola Region of Generation 8 as the scaly Pokémon. Jangmo-o is the first of its evolutionary line, evolving into Hakamo-o, and later Kommo-o. Fans have well-appreciated the Jangmo-o line, with Kommo-o recognized as one of the most underrated Dragon-type Pokémon in the franchise.

Jangmo-o is the adorable Dragon-type Pokémon that every trainer should want to add to their team. It captures a great design for a baby Dragon-type, featuring aspects such as a jagged mouth, large eyes, and a small body. Jangmo-o resembles a baby dinosaur or reptile, and uses its hard scales to protect itself from dangerous foes, maintaining a cute-but-powerful dynamic that trainers adore.

Noibat


Noibat Pokemon

Noibat, known as the sound wave Pokémon, is a creature introduced within Generation 6’s Kalos region. Noibat is a basic form Pokémon that later evolves into Noivern, with both being known for producing ultrasonic wavelengths with their ears to overcome opponents.

Noibat features an adorable and friendly little design that has successfully captured the hearts of many Pokémon trainers. Axew is a Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 5’s Unova region, known as the tusk Pokémon. Axew is the basic form Pokémon of the Haxorus evolution line and according to the Pokédex, the Axew-Fraxure-Haxorus evolution line is known for using their tusks to play-fight, cut into trees, and crush hardened berries to break off and regrow more. durable tusks.

Dratini is an adorable, sea-serpent dragon creature often found near bodies of water. Its design is simple, yet eye-catching, and features a long, blue, snake-like body with a large, white nose and adorable ears. Dratini also features a jewel-like marking on its forehead and big, bright eyes that give it a mystical appearance, adding to its adorable charm and beauty. With Dratini’s gentle nature and lovable design, it is easy to see why many fans regard Dratini as the cutest Dragon-type Pokémon in existence.
