It’s been announced that the CW’s new show The Winchesters, airing on September 1, will be giving fans a continued expansion to the Supernatural world. Although it has not been disclosed if Jared Padalecki will be involved in the show, fans hope he will make an appearance since they miss the Winchester brother duo on screen.

The love that the brothers have for each other is shown in various ways throughout the show. Whether it be buying his brother a pie, to save his life, Sam and Dean always had each other’s backs. Of course, the brothers have sacrificed their lives to save each other, which has happened quite often in the 15 seasons. There are a few too many instances where Same had to relive specific traumas in his life. Sam was chosen as an infant to fight a battle much bigger than himself, and evil touched his life and his family from the very beginning. As he was dragged along, he watched everybody close to him die even Dean who died 103 on the same recurring Tuesday in “Mystery Spot” – one of Supernatural‘s best episodes.

After Castiel rescued Sam from Hell, he went on living his life not knowing he did not have his soul. It was not until his soul had been in Hell for around 120 years (Hell time) that Castiel retrieved it from Lucifer’s Cage. The entire time that Sam was without his soul, he had no moral compass or emotion. He just roamed around with no purpose, fulfilling selfish desires.
As the meme shows, a huge premise of the show is demons searching for any way to manipulate and cash in on human souls. They did this by making deals with desperate people. One of Supernatural‘s more entertaining aspects was watching Sam and Dean interact with the endless barrage of monsters. They were destined to come across something that they were afraid of. The show capitalized on overcoming fear and facing demons, both figuratively and literally. Despite the Winchesters fighting truly terrifying opponents, each brother is human and has something that they’d rather not deal with. Sam is a relatable character to many who experience extremely hard things and still have certain horrors that upset them into their adulthood.

Though the relationship they foster is not always healthy, the bond they share is loyal and filled with love.
